Kommerzhotel Koeln - Cologne

The location next to the central train station and the Cologne Cathedral made exploring the city super easy. I loved how clean my room was, and the security box provided peace of mind for my belongings. The lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable during the humid night, and I had to open the window, facing loud street noise. Check-in was quick, but the front desk staff seemed a bit too strict about letting guests in. The convenience of the location was a highlight, but I struggled with comfort due to the noise and temperature issues.

Fairly clean and ideal place with pretty friendly staff. Neat and functional rooms, lovely views of cathedral and very central location. The location in the middle of Cologne. Found in the beach area.

Reasonably clean hotel, air-conditioned rooms, excellent location in city centre. Very helpful staff during our stay.

A warm gesture

The staff welcomed us warmly and even surprised us with birthday cake for my wife. Breakfast had lovely views and fresh options.

The lack of air conditioning made sleeping at night uncomfortable, and we faced street noise with open windows. The room was small and felt warm even with a fan.

It was an excellent location and easy to find because of this. The breakfast was very good and it was a perfect venue, reasonably priced, for a short stay in Cologne.

There was no comfortable lobby or bar to relax for an hour after a day out.The friendliness of the staff was not consistent. Some were excellent, but one was less welcoming or helpful.

Location is the main selling point here - literally across the road from the main station. Otherwise it is a plain business hotel with satisfactory rooms and breakfast, and friendly reception staff.

The room was clean and well-kept, but it faced the busy street, making sleep challenging. The buffet breakfast was enjoyable with a great selection of options, enhancing the overall stay experience.

Great location (just outside the Centraal Station with a nice view on the Cologne Cathedral); friendly staff, clean; great value for money

Location is great, You can see the hotel at train station. Facilities inside the hotel is also great, room is big and everything is comfortable for travellers.

Impeccably clean and highly accommodating staff with good personable touches.

The staff was all very friendly and the service was great. At the breakfast table we never had to wait for coffee, wich is a huge plus in my opinion. Finally the window, in contrary to some other hotels it can be fully opened, letting some fresh air in at night.

Sleeping with open window is pretty noisy because of traffic, but the later it gets the fewer cars pass by. But that's the only 'minor' point I could find appart from there being no minibar, but who want's overpriced water anyway?

Proximity to Dom and is right next door to the train station. Good breakfast buffet with hot options, but wouldn't necessarily recommend this place.

Hotel parking was full, so ended up parking at a garage for 15 Euro. Room, or at least the door, I stayed in was not sound proofed. Std. Single rooms are very small - no sitting chair, not comfortable to read in bed because the down in pillows and comforter offered no support. Had to ask 2x for 2nd pillow. Front desk person wasn't knowledgeable about Belgian Quarter and wasn't motivated to try to find out more info.

The location is superb, just a short stroll from the train station. The room was clean, and I appreciated having bottled water waiting for me upon arrival.

No air conditioning.

Great location right next to Hauptbahnhof and Cathedral. Very comfortable room and quiet even though over bus terminus. Excellent breakfast included in price. We didn't like Cologne itself but if you must stay there, say for a stopover, this hotel is ideal. Good value for money.
